3/7/10 Transportation Accessibility Analysis for Health Care
We are working with Florida Hospital Healthcare System to develop accessibility studies showing adequacy of medical provider network coverage for potential employer clients. The solution is based on ESRI's Network Analyst extension and Streetmap Premium data to determine average distance between physician and hospital providers and potential clients. Once the driving distances are calculated, additional analysis is performed to produce a comprehensive set of statistics that describe accessibility.
2/11/10 Transportation Routing for Hospice Services
Geographic Systems LLC is configuring ArcLogistics to provide transportation services to Hospice for people with special needs. Each morning, the patients are picked up at their homes and brought to the hospice for services and treatment, and then returned to their homes in the afternoon. ArcLogistics routing and scheduling software is being used to create efficient routes that pick up and drop off patients on time, avoid excess transit time, and also minimize overall transportation costs. The number of patients needing services grows monthly, and ArcLogistics will help keep up with the demand. ArcLogistics will also be used to model "what if" scenarios, such as adding vehicles to keep up with the growing demand for services.

10/29/09 ArcGIS Server Web Mapping Application for ECFRPC
ArcGIS Server Web Mapping Application for the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council's Community Visioning Project for the City of Cape Canaveral. The web mapping application currently under development will allow the public to see a base map of the city, as well as different layers of information representing current development patterns and opportunities for future planning and redevelopment.
10/9/09 GIS Training for Local Government
We have recently completed onsite GIS training for a number of Central Florida Cities and the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX). The cities of Orlando, Saint Cloud, and Titusville, and LYNX have recently taken ESRI Authorized ArcGIS training from Geographic Systems LLC. The City of Orlando has also completed a Custom training workshop on Cartography using ArcGIS.
7/7/09 Geographic Systems LLC joins ESRI Business Partner Program
Geographic Systems LLC has joined the ESRI Business Partner program as a Consultant and Value Added Reseller. We are now resellers of ArcGIS ArcView and all ESRI ArcGIS extensions, as well as ArcLogistics and Navigator. We intend to focus on the ArcLogistics market, offering installation and configuration services to optimize vehicle routing for clients.

3/27/09 International Seabed Authority Manages Offshore Mineral Rights with GIS
The International Seabed Authority (ISA) has recently completed a one week training and consulting workshop with Geographic Systems LLC. The workshop focused on Cartography and the use of Geodatabases to enhance ISA's mapping and GIS database development efforts.
2/27/09 City of Orlando GIS Training
The City of Orlando has recently completed ESRI Authorized ArcGIS training for various departments. Many of the students are very experienced with Mapinfo, and the training is helping to increase proficiency with ArcGIS.
2/1/09 ITS Maps and Data for Florida Turnpike and OOCEA
Geogrpahic Systems LLC has completing projects to collect GPS point and attribute information for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) infrastructure installed by Trans Tech Elecrtic LP along sections of toll roads owned by Florida Turnpike and the Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA). The ITS infrastructure consists of Dynamic Message Signs and Data Collection Sensors, as well as the supporting underground fiber and power cable lines. Deliverables included a Geodatabase of ITS infrastructure points and Fiber/Electic line networks.
12/1/08 GIS Training for Air Force concluded for 2008
Geographic Information Systems has concluded this year's round of GIS training for the US Air Force. During 2008, Geographic Systems conducted training to over 100 Air Force personnel on 12 bases nationwide. Training was performed as a subcontractor to Geographic Information Systems Inc.

ESRI names Miguel Garriga the top ESRI Authorized Instructor in the US based on training done during the first and second quarters of 2008. This is the fourth time in the past three years Miguel has won this distinction.

12/7/07 Disaster Management Workshop In Anguilla
Geographic Systems LLC conducts a second round of training for the Department of Disaster Management in Anguilla. Participants include staff from the Departments of the Environment, Marine Fisheries, Planning, and Lands and Surveys. The workshop includes focused consulting and training on Disaster management and Emergency Response, GIS, Advanced Cartography, and Database Design and Development to support Department's GIS objectives. Deliverables include new and improved GIS layers, an Emergency Search and Rescue Grid, and a map of the Top 100 Critical Infrastructure Facilities.
9/21/07 GIS Training at 2007 Central Florida GIS Workshop
Geographic Systems LLC conducts pre-workshop training for the first Central Florida GIS Workshop, and donates the proceeds to the CFGIS Workshop Committee. This is the first GIS conference put on by and for GIS users in Central Florida.
7/16/07 GISCorps Cultural GIS Project

4/27/07 Miguel Garriga Rated Top ESRI ATP Instructor
ESRI names Miguel Garriga the Top Instructor in the United States for the first quarter of 2007. Miguel was previously rated the top instructor for the second quarter of 2005.
4/14/07 GIS for Disaster Management Workshop in Anguilla
Geographic Systems LLC conducted a three day training workshop for the government of Anguilla on using GIS for Disaster Management. The course focused on using GIS for Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Response, and Damage Assessment. The workshop was attended by personnel from the Disaster Management Committee, and by individuals who may serve in the National Emergency Operations Center. The course was arranged by Disaster Manager Elizabeth Klute as part of the preparations for the upcoming 2007 hurricane season.
12/10/06 Cartography Workshop for Barbados Lands and Surveys
Geographic Systems LLC conducted a training and consulting workshop on Cartography using ArcGIS for the Barbados Lands and Survey Department. The workshop covered map production techniques for Database Design for Cartography, On-Demand Mapping, and Map Series development.
10/16/06 Advanced GIS Training for Conservation in South America
Geographic Systems LLC, along with the Society for Conservation GIS, and the ESRI Conservation Program, teamed with The Nature Conservancy to coordinate advanced GIS training for employees of The Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Fund in South America. The training was held at the Institute for Ecological Research outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Members of TNC and WWF from Brazil, Ecuador, and Bolivia participated in the training.

Geographic Systems LLC signs an agreement with Geographic Information Services, Inc. to provide ESRI Authorized Training for GISi customers nationwide. GISi is based in Birmingham, Alabama.
9/21/06 Central Florida GIS User Group Training
Geographic Systems LLC provides proprietary Geodatabase training to city and county users from Seminole and Volusia counties in Florida. Part of the proceeds from the training are donated to the Central Florida GIS User Group towards organizing the first Central Florida GIS Workshop, to be held in September 2007.
