We are conducting accessibility studies for Florida Hospital HealthCare System, analyzing the accessibility of its provider network to members and prospective members.

The solution uses the Esri ArcGIS Network Analyst extension and Streetmap Premium data to determine actual driving distances to hospitals and physicians throughout the Central Florida area. Once driving distances are calculated, additional analysis is performed to produce a comprehensive set of maps, charts, and reports that describe accessibility statistics.

Geographic Systems LLC is configuring ArcLogistics to provide transportation services to Hospice for people with special needs. Each morning, the patients are picked up at their homes and brought to the hospice for services and treatment, and then returned to their homes in the afternoon. ArcLogistics routing and scheduling software is being used to create efficient routes that pick up and drop off patients on time, avoid excess transit time, and also minimize overall transportation costs. The number of patients needing services grows monthly, and ArcLogistics will help keep up with the demand. ArcLogistics will also be used to model "what if" scenarios, such as adding vehicles to keep up with the growing demand for services.  2/11/10
