Geographic Systems LLC provides GIS consulting, services, software sales, and training. We are an ESRI Business Partner Consultant and Value Added Reseller of ArcView, ArcGIS Extensions, and ArcLogistics Routing and Scheduling Software.
We are based in Orlando, Florida, and are certified by the State of Florida as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). We provide ESRI software sales and ESRI authorized ArcGIS training throughout the United States, and GIS consulting services and custom training worldwide. Let us know what we can do for you.
Miguel Garriga
Miguel Garriga has extensive experience using GIS for database development, mapping, and analysis. Miguel has a Masters degree in Geography from George Washington University, specializing in Transportation and Urban & Regional Development.
Mr. Garriga worked on Federal projects in the Washington, D.C. area for several years prior to joining Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) as an Application Developer. At ESRI, Miguel was one of the founding members of the Transportation Logistics group, and played key roles in several highly successful and high profile projects, including the Sears Home Delivery Routing System, the CalTrans Traffic Management Center Prototype, the Jakarta Municipal GIS, and the Singapore Map Production System. Mr. Garriga left ESRI to join the American Automobile Association (AAA) National Office. There, he converted AAA's manual and CAD cartography workflows to more automated GIS data-driven map production.
In 2004, Miguel started Geographic Systems LLC, providing advanced GIS consulting services and ESRI Authorized Training. Mr. Garriga has been ranked the Top ESRI Authorized Instructor in the US several times. In 2008, the Orlando Business Journal named Geographic Systems LLC among the top 25 Hispanic-owned businesses in Central Florida. In 2009, we joined the ESRI Business Partner Program as a Consultant and Value Added Reseller.
Lisa A. Pierce
Lisa A. Pierce is the ESRI Authorized Spatial Analyst Instructor for the “Working with ArcGIS Spatial Analyst” course.
Ms. Pierce has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont, and a Master of Arts in Environmental Affairs with an emphasis in Water Resources Management from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Ms. Pierce spent 6 years in the environmental consulting arena before joining ESRI in Redlands as a marketing representative, and became a trainer in 1997. Ms. Pierce has been a trainer in both the formal ESRI classes as well in applied GIS classes at a variety of educational institutions in the Redlands area. Most recently she taught a GIS for Environmental Modeling class for the University of California Riverside Extension’s GIS Certification program. In January 2003, Ms. Pierce joined the Water Resources Institute at California State University - San Bernardino, where she provides GIS support for the digital library archives, and support for the implementation of the San Bernardino Geospatial Data Clearinghouse Node.
Recently, Ms. Pierce traveled to Jordan through a World Bank funded project for the Queen Rania Institute of Tourism and Heritage (QRITH) Program at the Hashemite University. There, she developed a GIS curriculum and training program for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management, integrating Petra Archaeological Park management efforts with 3D modeling techniques.
